Owner’s Representative; Phase One included restoration of the 400-acre John D. Rockefeller Estate as a visitation site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the management of design and construction of a new state-of-the-art conference facility installed in the historic Coach Barn operated by the Rockefeller Bothers Fund. Phased implementation of the program included new mechanical and life safety systems, roof replacement, restoration of period finishes and site improvements.

In Phase Two, a Master Plan has been developed to assess the long-term future uses and resource allocations required to maintain the various landscapes (parkland, woodlands, meadows, and the array of gardens) along with a 9 hole reversible golf course and precious botanical diversity. An operations & maintenance plan has been developed to increase economies, without noticeable impact to the unique setting.

As a center piece of the master Plan the golf course environmental impacts and maintenance costs have been documented and evaluated as a baseline to develop a long range plan that will maintain the view shed of the golf course, achieve sustainability objectives consistent with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund commitment to the surrounding community and the ecology and watershed of the Lower Hudson Valley.
