Pre-Construction and Construction Management from initial RFP through construction completion of this $80 million, 800-room convention hotel, private/public partnership, including historic restoration of the existing St. Moritz Hotel on site.

The 7.5 acre waterfront site was environmentally distressed and subject to strict new redevelopment guidelines by municipal, state and federal authorities. Pedestrian access from Collins Avenue, environmentally sensitive grading, planting and permeable hardscape were integrated into the Project. Started in early 1995, the Project was the first significant new commercial development to be built in compliance with the newly revised South Florida Building Code, enacted in the aftermath of the unparalleled devastation of Hurricane Andrew.
